Privacy Policy
Your data, handled with care.
Effective date: April 28, 2026
Wallflower Social HQ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Wallflower Social HQ. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). We wrote this in plain language because you've got better things to do than decode legalese.
1.Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways — some you give us directly, some we gather when you use the Service.
Information you provide
When you create an account, set up a brand, or contact us, you may share your name, email address, business name, phone number, billing details, and brand preferences (colors, logos, voice settings). If you connect social media accounts, we receive the access tokens and profile information needed to publish on your behalf.
Content you capture
Photos, videos, text, and other media you upload or capture through the Service. This is your content — we process it to generate posts, but we don't claim ownership of it.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect device information (browser type, operating system, device identifiers), usage data (features used, pages visited, timestamps), IP address and approximate location, and cookies and similar tracking technologies. We keep this light and purposeful — we're not building a surveillance profile.
2.How we use your information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Service, including:
- Generating, scheduling, and publishing content on your behalf
- Personalizing your brand experience and content suggestions
- Processing payments and managing your account
- Sending service-related communications (not marketing spam)
- Analyzing usage patterns to make the product better
- Complying with legal obligations
We don't sell your information. Full stop.
3.How we share your information
We share your information only when necessary and only with parties who need it.
Service providers
We work with trusted third parties for hosting, payment processing, analytics, and email delivery. They access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Social media platforms
When you connect accounts and publish content, we share your content with the platforms you've chosen. Each platform's own privacy policy governs their use of that data.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Wallflower Social HQ, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We'll notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4.AI and content generation
Wallflower Social HQ uses artificial intelligence to transform your captured media into branded content. Here's what that means for your data:
- Your photos and media are processed by our AI systems to generate captions, select layouts, and create post variations.
- We may use aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve our AI models, but we do not use your individual content to train models shared with other customers.
- Generated content is clearly identified within the Service.
- You always have the option to review and edit before anything goes out the door.
5.Data retention
- We keep your account information for as long as your account is active.
- Content you upload is retained until you delete it or close your account.
- Usage and analytics data is retained in anonymized form for product improvement.
- After account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Backups may persist for up to 90 days before being purged.
6.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of certain data processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, reach out to us at support@wallflowersocialhq.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings and unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any message we send.
7.Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Access controls and authentication requirements
- Regular security assessments
- Incident response procedures
No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and continuously work to improve our protections.
8.Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.
9.International data transfers
If you're using the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data during these transfers.
10.Your California privacy rights
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendments under the CPRA give you specific rights regarding your personal information.
What we collect and why
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (billing details, purchase history), internet or electronic network activity (usage data, browser type), geolocation data (approximate location from IP), and professional information (business name, role). We collect this information for the business purposes described in Section 2 of this policy.
Your rights under the CCPA
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- The right to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
We don't sell your data
Wallflower Social HQ does not sell your personal information as defined under the CCPA. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How to make a request
Submit a request by emailing support@wallflowersocialhq.com. We'll verify your identity before processing the request and respond within 45 days. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
11.For users in the European Economic Area
If you're located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related laws provide you with additional protections.
Legal bases for processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — to provide the Service you've signed up for, including content generation, scheduling, and publishing
- Legitimate interests — to improve the Service, prevent fraud, and ensure security, where these interests don't override your rights
- Consent — where you've opted in to specific processing, such as marketing communications or optional analytics (you can withdraw consent at any time)
- Legal obligation — where we're required to process data by applicable law
Your rights under the GDPR
In addition to the rights listed in Section 6, you have:
- The right to data portability (receiving your data in a structured, machine-readable format)
- The right to restrict processing in certain circumstances
- The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Email support@wallflowersocialhq.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Data protection officer
For GDPR-related inquiries, you can reach our data protection contact at support@wallflowersocialhq.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Data transfers outside the EEA
When your data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and other appropriate safeguards to ensure your data receives equivalent protection.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know through the Service or by email. The “effective date” at the top tells you when this version took effect.
