When you use Wallflower Social HQ and connect accounts from platforms like Facebook or Instagram, we collect and store certain information on your behalf — including your social media profile details, access tokens, and any content you've created or scheduled through our platform. This page explains how to request deletion of that data.
1.What data we hold
When you connect a social media platform (such as Facebook or Instagram) to Wallflower Social HQ, we may store:
- Your platform username, display name, and profile image
- Encrypted access tokens that allow us to publish and schedule content on your behalf
- Content you've created, drafted, or scheduled through Wallflower Social HQ
- Analytics data pulled from your connected accounts
- Brand settings and preferences you've configured
We do not sell this data. We use it solely to operate the Service on your behalf. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
2.How to request deletion
You can request deletion of your data at any time using either of the following methods:
Option 1 — Email us
Send an email to support@wallflowersocialhq.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Include the email address associated with your Wallflower Social HQ account, and specify whether you want to delete your full account or only data from a specific connected platform. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
Option 2 — Remove app access on Facebook
If you connected Wallflower Social HQ via Facebook Login, you can remove our app's access to your Facebook and Instagram data directly from your Facebook settings:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find Wallflower Social HQ in the list
- Click Remove
Removing app access revokes our ability to access your Facebook and Instagram data going forward. We will also receive a notification and process deletion of any stored data associated with your Facebook account within 30 days.
3.What happens after deletion
- Your account, social platform connections, scheduled content, and stored tokens are permanently removed from our active systems.
- Encrypted backups containing your data are purged within 90 days of your deletion request.
- Aggregated and anonymized analytics (which cannot be tied back to you) may be retained for product improvement.
- We may retain records required by law (such as billing history) for the duration required by applicable regulations.
4.Confirmation and tracking
Once your deletion request is processed, we will send a confirmation email to the address on file. If you submitted your request by email, we will reply to that thread.
If you haven't received a confirmation within 30 days, please follow up at support@wallflowersocialhq.com.
